Cobertos pelo mar

Nessa época, a temperatura do planeta aumentou. Grandes quantidades de gelo derreteram, e o nível do mar se elevou, atingindo o atual território da Bolívia. Por esse motivo, restos fossilizados de animais marinhos são encontrados no interior do continente. É comum encontrar moldes que copiem exatamente a textura externa da casca de um molusco marinho.

Around this time the planet’s temperature increased. Great amounts of ice melted and the sea level raised so much that it reached Bolivia’s present territory. For this reason, marine animal fossils are found inland in the continent. It is common to find molds that exactly copy the outer shell texture of a marine clam.
